In a significant stride towards professional enrichment, Gohar Grigoryan, the director of the French-Armenian Vocational Education Center, and Marina Martirosyan, the director of Gyumri State Medical College, recently visited APRO Formazione in Alba, Italy. During their stay, the Armenian partners engaged in a series of comprehensive activities designed to bolster educational strategies. The program included job shadowing, and extensive meetings with Italian counterparts to discuss innovative approaches to professional orientation and guidance for compulsory students, with a keen focus on integrating social and healthcare frameworks.
The delegation also toured several key facilities, including Verduno Hospital and the City of Talents, as well as educational institutions like the Cillario Training Centre and the Emmaus social cooperative. These visits provided practical insights into the operational and educational strategies that could be adapted to benefit Armenian vocational training.
Highlighting the importance of inclusivity in education, the program also covered sessions on job search projects for individuals with disabilities and discussed orientation activities suitable for secondary schools and adult education pathways.
